Kidsave is a nonprofit organization working to find loving families for children in need, through adoption and foster to adopt programs. I’ve covered their story for nearly ten years and can’t help but want to help.

Having been raised in a supportive, loving and generous family, as well as raising my children the same way, it’s hard for me to understand what leads to a child being on their own. While all the reasons have been explained to me, growing up alone remains unimaginable to me.

Throughout my career I have covered segments of the foster system for the US Department of Labor and Casey Family programs, the largest provider of research, advocacy and support for foster initiatives in the US. Kidsave is boots on the ground.
